Character-building and Values Education

Values are character-building principles that inform and direct behaviour. A set of sound values will help a child with handling social, emotional, behavioural and achievement challenges in school.

Character-building and values education at Pro-Teach is taught through puppets, skits and songs in a unique character-building programme, the You Can Do It! Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum. Developed in the United Kingdom by Dr. Michael E. Bernard, Education Psychologist and
Professor  in  The  Melbourne  Graduate  School  of  Education,
University of Melbourne, Australia, this carefully designed curriculum teaches five key foundations of Confidence, Persistence, Getting Along, Organisation and Emotional Resilience through 12 Habits of the Mind to develop positive thinking and boost self-esteem in children.
